Mavet Milestones

1970

The year Mavet was founded as a main subcontractor of AGV Helmets.

2000

Mavet specialised in the production of helmets made of composite materials such as Carbon, Kevlar and fibreglass.

2002

Mavet invested in a state-of-the-art in-house laboratory where it could perform the tests required by international standards.

2005

Mavet strengthened its relationships with leading universities, and funded two important research projects:
- a three-year study on the virtual modelling of helmets with the Imperial College of London, Department of Aeronautics;
- a campaign of experimental tests of different materials with the University of Padua, Department of Material Design.

2007

Mavet made major investments in new technologies and brought all stages of helmet production in-house (except the moulding of EPS shells).
Today, helmets are entirely designed and developed by Mavet engineers and it is also one of the first Italian companies to adopt an environmentally-friendly painting system and a state-of-the-art system for storing hazardous volatile organic compounds.

2008

Mavet renewed and expanded its research and development department through new management with great experience in the field and technicians specialising in materials and FEM simulations.

2009

Mavet has now the potential to design and produce innovative Mission helmets. With new investments in R&D, it aims to develop products which are leaders in the higher segments of the helmet market worldwide. Mavet designs and manufactures on behalf of third parties and does not intend to sell its own brand.
Current Mavet’s main clients are Dainese, AGV, Sparco, 3M (Peltor).

The cooperation with German Company BMW Motorrad is becoming even stronger and is bringing to realization of the jet helmet winning in this year the prestigious award for design "Red Dot".
